The internationally recognized Vanguard School of Lake Wales, Florida, was founded in 1966 and serves the needs of students who have learning differences. Students from 16 states and 22 foreign countries make up our international learning community. The mission of The Vanguard School is to provide an individualized program in a nurturing environment that enables students to develop to their fullest; academically, socially, and personally. The school provides a safe and secure but appropriately demanding and structured environment in which students who have been unsuccessful in regular school programs are able to learn and achieve.
